Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you stay in control. We follow the spirit of India's DPDP Act, GDPR, and global best practice.
What we collect
We collect profile information you provide during registration (name, gender, religion, education, family, lifestyle, photos), authentication data (email, phone, password hash), usage logs (search activity, interest counts, IP, device), and payment metadata (transaction id, plan) — card details are processed by Razorpay and never stored on our servers.
How we use it
To create your profile, surface compatible matches, send service emails, prevent fraud, and improve the product. We do not sell data to third parties.
Sharing
Profile fields are shared with other members per your visibility settings. Payment processors and email vendors receive only the data needed to deliver their service.
Security
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Photos are watermarked. Sessions are HttpOnly + Secure + SameSite. Sensitive endpoints are rate-limited. Backups are encrypted at rest.
Your rights
Access and export your data via Settings → Privacy → Export. Correct any field directly in your profile. Delete your account via Settings → Account → Delete. Honoured within 7 days.
